Sustainable Places to Visit in Laos

I participated in an unforgettable trip to experience Laos through sustainability initiatives. Lasting Laos is a campaign implemented by the SUSTOUR Lao project, funded by the European Union, and they created a 7-day FAM trip that connected tour operators, travel agents, media, and influencers with local businesses committed to sustainability. All of the following businesses and organizations hold Travelife and Lasting Laos Certifications. All the businesses left a lasting impression, so I highly recommend checking them out when visiting Laos.

ACTIVITIES & SHOPS

Lao Pottery House in Luang Prabang

I've frequented the Lao pottery village numerous times, and each visit brings new discoveries. It's an excellent destination to delve into Lao pottery's rich history, try your hand at crafting your own bowl, and admire/purchase their exquisite and unique ceramics. I'm an avid supporter and have acquired several pieces. Various families excel in distinct pottery styles, with my personal favorites being their charming weighted animal figurines.
