How to Grow Bean Sprouts at Home

1/4 cup mung beans 

1/2 cup room temp water

1/4 cup hot water 

1 steamer with lid or large contraption with holes at the bottom 

1 Plastic flat surface with small holes 

  1. Add mung beans to a bowl then add room temp water and hot water and gently mix

  2. Let it sit in the water for the next 6 hours or over night

  3. In a steamer or large flat surface with holes on the bottom for draining, lay the beans evenly on top. Place a few damp cloths on top then cover the beans with a lid

  4. Water the beans twice a day in the morning and evening and make sure to cover

  5. The beans will be ready to eat after two days

  6. Cut the button of the roots to remove the beans easily

  7. Put all the sprouts in a large bowl and rinse under water. Most of the sprouts shells should come off and pick off the ones that didn’t come off.

  8. Enjoy the sprouts
